Today, I take a moment to marvel at the beauty of “strength”. Authors of English have attempted to define Strength as “the quality or state of being physically strong”, but the depth I need is in this, that they further describe her as “the capacity of an object or substance to withstand great force or pressure”…..That’s strength!!!

Music often ignites meanings in ways that mere words run short of. So, today’s journey takes me on an adventure that brings light to the creativity of one who sang about “strength” and dared to describe it as an attribute of a woman (Ref. Shaggy’s Strength of a Woman)…..  “So amazing how this world was made, I wonder if GOD is a woman, The gift of life astounds me to this day, I give it up for the woman, She's the constant wind that fills my sail, Oh that woman! With her smile and her style, my!!!....She'll protect like a child, That's a woman…….” Ahhhhhh!

To that Woman, who is constantly looking beyond herself, beyond her (painful) beautiful story, beyond her today, beyond what the world has thrown at her, yes you can!!! You are made of strength, you are made of goodness, you are made of beauty undefined; yet when unveiled, the world marvels! Look at the lines described above, take another look / read…. your quality alone, to withstand great forces of pressure (CALL THESE OUT!....Loss, trauma, failure, childlessness, emptiness, emotional breakdowns, overwhelm, betrayal, physical shut downs, STRESS, and the list goes on….) has been written about in the English language.
